The Account Director (AD) assumes a pivotal role in upholding client stability and shaping their potential for growth.

As the lead in day-to-day client engagement, the AD crafts strategic recommendations tailored to address the client’s business challenges within the marketing and consumer landscape. Directing a team of agency professionals, the AD ensures client needs are met while driving favorable outcomes that bolster agency profitability and overall financial well-being. Collaborating with internal specialists, the AD guides clients toward innovative marketing solutions, enriching their operational and planning processes.

Account Director will report directly to the President.

Core Duties

  • Responsible for guaranteeing client satisfaction and handling strategic challenges or problem resolution of one-to-one marketing issues
  • Obtain a comprehensive understanding of the marketplace and our clients’ businesses including various media and distribution channels
  • Proactive engagement with client to evolve and improve existing services, in order to drive profitability
  • Guarantee and be held accountable for the security of our client’s business
  • Manage and ensure quality of our services to clients
  • Management and handling of key client briefs, projects and requests, including the refinement of the above
  • Standard day-to-day management of clients and their requests including presentations, documentation, and client activity administration
  • Ensure the excellence of projects; effectively manage and interpret client feedback; Guide Brand Executives to implement projects smoothly and effectively
  • Support Brand Executives in developing new business or expanding existing business
  • Financial control of billings and third party costs
  • Write/proofread major communications materials including executive internal memos, executive speeches, Q&A, sensitive topic statements, pitch docs or press releases
  • Maintain high-level contacts within business and industry relations
  • Spearhead significant offline activities and events while maintaining high standards
  • Offer strategic guidance and support to key clients during account planning
  • Advise clients on crafting effective customer management strategies
  • Lead the development of communication plans and PR strategies with the team
  • Stay current on industry trends crucial for the organization’s sustainability and competitiveness
  • Adapt proposals to suit evolving business landscapes
  • Facilitate effective client briefs for internal teams, including strategy, creative, and delivery
  • Ensure the quality of creative outputs in collaboration with the Creative Director
  • Foster motivation and streamline working processes within the creative team
  • Supervise project briefings and secure client approval
  • Deliver constructive creative feedback
  • Develop strong working relationships with Brand Executives to ensure that once briefed the campaign/project moves forward smoothly
  • Be the initial contact for resolving problems raised by Brand Executive
  • Work with President to project future account team personnel requirements and overcome any existing challenges
  • Demonstrate proactive and energetic working attitude
  • Take responsibility for management and motivation of account team members to allow them to achieve maximum potential
  • Abide by the Creative Energy policy manual

Qualifications:

  • National consumer brand experience necessary
  • Minimum 6+ years of creative agency account management experience
  • Team-leading experience
  • Excellent writing skills, strong presentation capabilities (proven media relations skills)
  • Strong verbal and presentation skills with the ability to speak knowledgeably with high level executives internally and with clients
  • Detail-oriented, organized and dedicated; proactive and enthusiastic with an ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines; a quick learner
  • Knowledge of working software (Office 365, Google Docs, etc.)
