CE Wins Record Addy’s

Creative Energy, celebrating its 25th year as the region’s largest locally-owned advertising, marketing and public relations firm, recently brought home a record number of awards from the American Advertising Federation’s Northeast Tennessee Awards ceremony.
The awards included six silver awards, 11 gold awards, Best of Show Overall, as well as Best of Show in three categories. Creative Energy also swept the Judge’s Choice awards. Judges for the event were advertising professionals from Roanoke, Va., Waterloo, Iowa, and Chicago.
Creative Energy’s Vice President Teresa Treadway, currently serving as the Governor of the five-state District 7 of the American Advertising Federation, was also honored with the Silver Medal Award this year. Silver Medal recipients are selected by a panel of judges who base the award on several criteria, including the person’s contribution to his or her company, the person’s creative ability, and his or her contributions to the advancement of advertising and to the general community.

Conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the Northeast Tennessee Ad Club Awards event is the first of a three-tier, national competition. Winners of Gold ADDYs locally are forwarded to the district competition, and winners there compete nationally for recognition.
This year’s theme was Pure ImADgination – a tribute to the late actor Gene Wilder and the creative genius of all things Willy Wonka. The event was held at The Venue in downtown Johnson City on Saturday, Feb. 25th.
