Creative Energy Earns Multiple Awards from GRAPHIS Including Agency Branding

Graphis, a leading global authority on advertising design, released its selections for the 2020 Advertising Annual of the top creative work from advertising agencies worldwide. For Creative Energy, the latest new release of the publication saw the advertising firm triple its number of award-winning entries over the previous year.
Graphis Magazine has been an industry authority on the best advertising design and artwork for over 50 years. Many in the industry consider their Advertising Annual a record of the best in advertising around the globe. The publication selects exceptional work within three categories: Advertising, Photography, and Art/Illustration.
For the 2020 Advertising Annual, Creative Energy was recognized for two advertising campaigns. The firm’s “Sauce Like You Mean It” campaign for Garner Foods’ Texas Pete® Hot Sauce was noted as well as the “#Beechlife” campaign for Beech Mountain Resort. The agency’s artwork for its own rebranding campaign was likewise recognized. The three awards join Creative Energy’s 2019 Advertising Annual award for the “Southern Dozen” campaign to promote motorcycle tourism for the Johnson City Convention and Visitors Bureau.
“Great work from extraordinarily talented people make awards such as our most recent from Graphis part of a tradition of recognizing excellence here at Creative Energy,” says Will Griffith, Executive Creative Director at the agency. “Our team was especially proud to have our agency rebranding campaign included in the 2020 Graphis Advertising Annual. Having our own agency’s new identity recognized as some of the best self-promotion work by an ad agency was very satisfying.”
The “Sauce Like You Mean It” campaign is a national campaign targeting hot sauce users that includes television, outdoor billboards, social media and digital advertising. “#BeechLife” focused on the camaraderie of ski enthusiasts through print magazines, digital and social media. The firm’s design of a jackalope as its moniker for rebranding the ad firm as experts in building brands for other companies is being leveraged through the company’s website, e-marketing and social media.
“We celebrate great work here on a regular basis,” said Creative Energy President and Founder Tony Treadway. “It’s a credit to clients who entrust their advertising and messaging to us that allow our talented people to do great work.”
Creative Energy was named the Southeast’s top Small Agency of the Year by Ad Age magazine earlier this year.
